Hello again, everyone, and know that Selwyn and I wish you a lovely Valentine's Day.  I hope you have been keeping warm and safe during your Winter roller coaster ride of temps and conditions.  If it's any consolation, my area of Australia has been experiencing record highs with intense humidity, and even higher temps accompanied by severe aridity that has caused massive bush fires in the inland regions.  The Outback and Northern Territory  become almost uninhabitable during a Summer like this.   Sel and I did enjoy a lovely 2 week respite in January, though, as we once again spent some relaxing days in New Zealand, including a visit to Hobbit-town in Matamata, home to the production and filming sites of the Hobbit movies of recent years.  It still amazes me that having spent most of my life in WNY, I now inhabit and roam a part of the world that I always considered exotic and far away.  I suppose it is just another proof that God holds the plans for each life, and offers us the opportunities for our choice...

Continuing with my theme of sharing 'wisdoms', if you will, from other sources, here are a few more for your heart.

For February:

"A contented person enjoys the scenery on a detour."    Anonymous

"A half century of living should put a good deal into a woman's face besides a few wrinkles and some unwelcome folds around the chin."    Frances Parkinson Keyes

"Be happy.  It's one way of being wise."    Colette

(No one knows me like God does.)  ...I have called you by name; you are mine."    Isaiah 43:1

"Empathy is your pain in my heart."    Anonymous

"Answers to prayer often come in unexpected ways.  We pray, for instance, for a certain virtue; but God seldom delivers Christian virtues all wrapped in a package and ready for use.  Rather, He puts us in situations where by His help we can develop those virtues."    C. R. Findley

"When you cannot pray as you would, pray as you can."    Dean M. Goulburn

"The real measure of a man's wealth is what he has invested in eternity."    Anonymous

"Some people make the world more special just by being in it."    Anonymous

"May you LIVE all the days of your life."    Jonathan Swift

May these be strength when you falter, hope when you doubt, comfort when you weep, and joy when you feel blessed...

Please remember the children in your prayers and acts of kindness.

Always in Prayer With and For You, Mary
