 Dear Friends,

I know you have been struggling with bitter weather and a very difficult Winter season, and I can only pray you stay safe and warm and hopeful that Spring will arrive soon.  We have had extremes of heat and rain here, but certainly not with the disadvantages you face in the cold.  Having said that, I must admit to missing the beauty of a new snowfall, but not the rest of what goes with!  Sel and I have been busy and blessed with a full concert season, and are looking forward to our jaunt later this year to see his family in England, as well as spending some time with an old and dear friend in Denmark before taking a cruise to some Baltic capitals.  We were incredibly blessed with some remarkable sale prices for the cruise, which allowed us to add that to our relatively 'free' stays with our friend and Sel's family.  So in addition to my quotes for the month, I want to wish you all a blessed season of Lenten preparation, with a prayer that your reflections will bring you ever closer to His joyous peace and all - consuming love.  I send this with much love to you and yours.

For March:

"God has not called us to see through each other, but to see each other through."    Horace Moody

(Remember the tea kettle--it is always up to its neck in hot water, yet it still sings!)  "Rejoice in the Lord always...Rejoice!"    Phillippians 4:4

"It is impossible for that man to despair who remembers his Helper is omnipotent."    Jeremy Taylor

"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."    Galatians 6:2

"So encourage each other to build each other up, just as you are already doing."  1 Thessalonians 5:11

"If there is anything better than to be loved, it is loving."    Anonymous

"A real friend is one who helps us to think our best thoughts, do our noblest deeds, and be our finest selves."    Anonymous

"The hero is one who kindles a great light in the world, who sets up blazing torches in the dark street of life for men to see by.  The saint is the man who walks through the dark paths of the world, himself a light."    Felix Adler

"There is more safety with Christ in the tempest than without Christ in the calmest waters."    Alexander Grosse

(Christians and camels receive their burdens kneeling.)  "Come unto Me... and I will give you rest."    Matthew 11:28

"God know the secret plan of the things He will do for the world, using my hand."    Toyohiko Kagawa

If you would never cease to pray, never cease to long for it.  The continuance of your longing is the continuance of your prayer."    St. Augustine

May these be strength when you falter, hope when you doubt, comfort when you weep, and joy when you feel blessed...

Always in Prayer With and For You, and please remember the world's children, so in need of our prayers...Mary
