Genesis 17:7

"I will confirm my covenant with you and your descendants after you, from generation to generation.  This is the everlasting covenant: I will always be your God and the God of your descendants after you."

Did you visit family during this Holiday season?  Maybe your family dinners are at grandma's house, or your mom and dad's house.  Maybe your family is a group of friends that have become your family, or you possibly stayed home and had a quiet Christmas.  During this time of year I often think of our service men and women who are so far from "home" they are family to each other.

We, as Christians, need to know that our Father in heaven is wherever we are.  WE ARE NEVER ALONE!  As we travel near and far to be with the people who mean so much to us, God, Abba, Father is always with us.  Are we always his people?  I am hoping that this New Year will over us the opportunity to reflect where we stand with our Creator.  He chose us, but do we make time in our lives to choose Him?  How is our relationship going?  Is there conversation of a daily basis?  Are we spending time reading His words?

Many of us waste so much of our time pleasing the world -- Today is the day we start living for God and God alone.

Happy New Year to you and yours,
Pastor Katie
