If you were unable to be in church on Christmas
Eve, it was an awesome event. Some of the congregation from the Buffalo Korean
UMC joined in the celebration. Their choir sang “O Holy Night” – in Korean and
English. Two young ladies played a wonderful cello duet and sang “Nearer, My
God to Thee”. The Bowmansville Choir sang “He
Is Born”. They were great! Rev. Youngjae gave a meaningful message. Then there
was a portrayal of “The Story of the Birth of Jesus Christ”. We were blessed to
have the Siekmann Family represent the Holy Family. Several members of the
Skare Family were an angel, shepherd, and Magi. Amy MacPeek was the narrator.
Many thanks to Ron Skare – and Deanna for putting this together. Special thanks
to all who participated and made the story so meaningful to those gathered.
After the candles were lit and “Silent Night” was sung, everyone walked to the
manger and then left in silence. It was a wonderful celebration! (More pictures in the Photo Gallery) |
