Health Kits are one of several typed of emergency kits distributed by UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief). Health Kits provide basic necessities to people who have been forced to leave their homes because of human conflict or natural disasters.

Please purchase the following (all items must be new and exactly as described.  Do not wash the towel or washcloth or they will not be considered new).

1 Hand Towel 15x25 in. to 17x27 in. (Kitchen, microfiber, or cleaning towels are NOT acceptable)

   1 washcloth

1 comb - sturdy & more than 6" - no pocket combs or hair picks

1 metal file or nail clippers (no emery boards)

1 bath size - 3oz or larger soap in wrapper (No Ivory or Jergens due to the high moisture content)

1 adult size toothbrush in original packaging

6 adhesive bandages, 3/4 - 1 inch size (common household bandaids)

   1 gallon Ziploc bag

$1 to cover cost of toothpaste

Items must be exact to allow UMCOR the greatest flexibility to use these kits.

We will assemble the kits at the October 18 coffee hour to UMCOR specifications. The kits will then be delivered to Harris Hill UMC to be forwarded to the UMCOR distribution center.

Thank you for your help.

Update:  27 Health Kits were assembled during coffee hour on 10/18.  See the "Photo Gallery" for pictures of the event.
