For those who might need a Blessing, some Hope, and Spiritual Healing, Bowmansville will be hosting a Healing & Prayer service on Nov. 1,  2017 (All Saints Day) at 7:00 pm.

We together will hold a quiet time together in quiet music, prayer, Holy Communion and a spiritual anointing for those requesting a healing time Spiritually.

This can be a time for quiet contemplation as well.

This service will usually be held on the 1st Thursday of the month starting in January through the winter months, BUT for this month of November we are holding it on All Saints Day to remember loved one who have gone before us who are the Saints of the church.

Sunday School has resumed.

Pentecost - June 4

posted Jun 2, 2017, 8:53 AM by Bowmansville UMC

On June 4, 2017, Christians around the world will observe Pentecost Sunday.  This day signifies the day Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and the Holy Spirit descended to bless His apostles. The word is taken from the Greek term "pentekoste," meaning "fiftieth." It was the fiftieth day after Easter Sunday when Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles.

At BUMC, we will celebrate the Day of Pentecost by wearing RED. The Worship Committee also asks that you bring a RED candle and a RED flowering plant for the altar. If you like, you may take your flower home or leave it to be planted at the church.
